To promote cooperation with governmental and non-governmental agencies to conserve the CBS
natural resources, foster sustainable eco-cultural tourism, assist in the development of cottage
industries and enterprises, while at the same time recognizing and encouraging the substantial
role of women in the conservation, family and economic sector.
Be a leading grass roots world-class model promoting Belize’s natural resources while preserving
prime habitat for the movement of wildlife. The CBS will be the leading private community-based
reserve working hand in hand with its members for improved economic conditions, social well- being, and will play a major role in providing alternative livelihood through conservation efforts.
